NAAS has found the key to delivering consistent high quality service is to attract, hire, develop and retain talented employees at all levels. NAAS understands that employee performance directly influences the way an airline is perceived with regard to service. It is NAAS' goal to provide its' client carriers with employees who have demonstrated abilities and competencies for the work required.

All of our employees must meet the following minimum standards prior to being accepted for full-time or part-time employment:

  • Pass the pre-employment interview process

  • Complete a (10) year background check (includes DMV and criminal)

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening test

  • Pass a Hazardous Material handling test

  • Pass a probationary period of 90 days

  • A Past Employment and Education background check

Employee Development and Quality Control

NAAS provides all of its employees with formal training in addition to any client carrier provided training programs. NAAS employs knowledgeable and experienced corporate trainers and larger operations have full time trainers on staff. NAAS has always recognized training to be vital, especially for employees who handle hazardous materials, complete daily accounting and/or deliver customer service.

Working hand in hand with the operational training department, NAAS has a professional Human Resource department that develops for each airline client a formal HR action plan that includes but is not restricted to:

  • A work environment policy intended to provide safe working conditions for all employees
  • A safety and OSHA compliance committee at each location
  • Standardized interpretation and use of employee benefits package
  • Communication of management’s interests and other key information to all personnel
  • Establishment of procedures for accident investigation, record keeping and adherence to federal, state and local authority regulations and employment practices
  • Timely station updates regarding changes in FAA, TSA, client carrier and other government regulations that may effect the business

Corporate and field HR departments assist station management to develop a formal set of “Performance Indicators” and other forms of quality control measurements. Regular audits are conducted using client carrier criteria.

During all contract transitions employees will be graded in the first 30 days of operation on key performance indicators. These include but are not limited to:

  • Attendance and punctuality - arriving prepared for work
  • Courtesy to clients, customers and fellow employees
  • Telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow and comply with client carrier procedures
